Philip started his career as a backend developer, working primarily with Python. He was curious about how applications behaved once they were running in production, and thought about how developers could easily get their apps into production without having to worry about what was happening in the infrastructure. Eventually he began to build automation for deploying his own applications, and other developers started to ask to use that automation.
At Packet, he works to build and maintain tools to improve the reliability of the Packet service.
He lives in Philadelphia with his partner, son, and two cats.
